Dredging: There has been minimal dredging as the team are preparing Thumper for her engine overhaul. That should be complete by end September after which dredging will resume.
Piles: The new piles for the new pontoon installation have hit a snag and the contractor is seeking a solution before recommencing. All the hardware has been procured for the task and awaits the contractors' solutions.
Crane: The design for the pad for the new crane is being completed and it is expected that installation will take place in February 2011.
Trolleys: The new trolleys have been delivered
Drying Out Berth: The task has slipped through lack of staff and time. It will be done as soon as staff are available to complete it.
Planks on pontoons: Most of the marked planks have been changed. The rest will follow as assets become available (manpower).
Hoses: There are now 2 hoses per pontoon leg for us to use.
The Enviromental Action Plan: This is the subject of a meeting this week and will be completed before the end of the season.
Working under suspended loads: It is intended to have a Working Group to work out the best way for all concerned and appropriate charging regime. Watch this space for a call for volunteers.
ESSENTIAL SAFETY: When the marina is busy it is sometimes difficult to park on the roadways, however, there is always plenty of room in the carpark. Make use of that and allow emergency vehicles and delivery trucks to carry out their task for our benefit and safety.
